About D&Z Worldwide

A marketing and distribution firm specializing in water treatment chemicals, backed by more than 40 years of combined team experience in water treatment.

D&Z Worldwide was established to market and distribute next-generation water-treatment chemistry, but the expertise behind it goes back much further: our team brings more than 40 years of combined experience in water treatment to every program we build. Since 2010 that experience has been focused on advanced oxidation and precision, ORP-controlled dosing. Our mission is simple to say and demanding to deliver: Smarter. Safer. Sustainable.

Approved, certified & independently validated

Who We Are

How long has D&Z Worldwide been in water treatment?

D&Z Worldwide is a marketing and distribution firm that specializes in water treatment chemicals. We deliver advanced treatment technologies that enhance water quality, protect infrastructure, support public health, and strengthen operational efficiency across utilities, agriculture, food processing, energy, and industrial sectors.

Our work spans five key operational areas:

40+ YrsCombined team experience
2.8–2.9 VOxidation potential (above ozone)
6×Shelf life vs. sodium hypochlorite
12–24×Efficacy on biofilm & pathogens
Laboratory testing of water-treatment chemistry

Our Story

What makes this century-old chemistry practical?

D&Z Worldwide was founded in 2010 to market and distribute a new generation of water-treatment chemistry. In 2013 we brought DZ 9450 — our mineral oxychloride technology — to market, and it has since become the foundation of our program family, including the EPA- and USDA-approved flagship disinfectant DZ 9966.

The underlying mineral oxychloride chemistry was first explored in the early 1900s, but it could not be reliably measured or controlled until modern oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) instruments arrived in the late 20th century. That control point is what turned a promising reaction into a dependable, dose-managed treatment program.

  • Founded 2010 to market and distribute next-generation treatment chemistry.
  • DZ 9450 mineral oxychloride brought to market in 2013.
  • ORP instrumentation makes the chemistry measurable and controllable.
  • Now serving utilities, industry, agriculture, food, and energy.

How We Work

How does D&Z Worldwide support each program?

D&Z Worldwide Technical Team

The D&Z Worldwide Technical Team provides applications and technical support for every program, from the first question to full-scale use. Its focus is helping operators run advanced oxidation and treatment chemistry reliably and affordably in the field.

  • Technical review of your water chemistry, contaminants, and treatment goals.
  • Product selection and ORP-based dosing guidance.
  • Bench, pilot, and field trials on your own system before full-scale rollout.
  • Safety data sheets, product labels, and technical documents on request.

What Makes Us Different

How does D&Z Worldwide match ozone-class oxidation?

D&Z Worldwide mineral oxychloride chemistry is the liquid chelation of minerals with oxygen. The oxygen atoms are weakly bound, so on contact the chemistry releases them to generate a family of reactive oxygen species (ROS) — superoxide, hydroxyl radical, singlet oxygen, hydroperoxyl, and peroxide. The result is an oxidation potential of 2.8–2.9 V, second only to fluorine and on par with the hydroxyl radical, well above ozone (2.07 V), chlorine dioxide (1.57 V), and chlorine (1.36 V).

Why operators choose it

  • Ready-to-use liquid. 100% water-soluble, delivered as a liquid — no gas generation, no complex dissolution systems needed.
  • Extended shelf life. Roughly six months of stability compared to ~30 days for sodium hypochlorite — six times the shelf life.
  • Superior efficacy. 12–24 times more effective than chlorine at controlling resistant biofilms, bacteria, viruses, and spores.
  • Lower operational cost. Delivers equivalent oxidation power for less than 1% of the capital and maintenance cost of conventional ozone.
i

A precision control point, not a guess

Because the program is managed by ORP, disinfection performance is tied to a measurable target: roughly +600 mV corresponds to an effective disinfection barrier, and +700 mV delivers a 6-log kill in under 10 seconds.

Credentials

What approvals and certifications does the chemistry hold?

EPA FIFRA Registered

DZ 9966 is registered under the federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (2020) for use as a disinfectant.

USDA / NOP Organic

DZ 9966 is certified under the USDA National Organic Program (2021, 7 CFR Part 205) for use in organic operations.

NSF/ANSI Standard 60

DZ 9966 and DZ 9450 are NSF/ANSI Standard 60 certified for drinking-water treatment, with a maximum use dose of 84 mg/L.

Frequently Asked Questions

More about D&Z Worldwide.

What does D&Z Worldwide do?

D&Z Worldwide supplies advanced water-treatment chemistry for utilities, industry, agriculture, food processing, and oil & gas. The line includes the DZ 9966 and DZ 9450 mineral oxychloride oxidants, coagulants and flocculants, organo-clay, metal-removal chemistry, and struvite and vivianite control. Every program comes with technical support from the D&Z Worldwide Technical Team.

What is mineral oxychloride chemistry?

It is the liquid chelation of minerals with oxygen. The oxygen atoms are weakly bound, so on contact the chemistry releases them to generate reactive oxygen species with an oxidation potential of 2.8–2.9 V — ozone-class oxidation without having to dissolve a gas in water. The chemistry was first explored in the early 1900s but only became controllable with modern ORP instruments.

How does D&Z Worldwide support customers?

Each program starts with a technical review of your water chemistry and treatment goals. The D&Z Worldwide Technical Team then recommends products and ORP-based dosing targets, helps scope bench, pilot, or field trials on your own system, and supplies safety data sheets and product labels on request. To start, contact deepak@dz-worldwide.com.

Is the chemistry approved and certified?

Yes. DZ 9966 is EPA FIFRA registered (2020) and USDA/NOP Organic certified (2021, 7 CFR Part 205), and D&Z Worldwide chemistry is USEPA water approved. DZ 9966 and DZ 9450 are NSF/ANSI Standard 60 certified with a maximum use dose of 84 mg/L. DZ 9450 and DZ 9966 are the same chemistry on two different registration paths. The chemistry has also been independently validated by a university post-harvest research program, a university food-safety research team, an independent pathogen laboratory, and a university biofilm research center.

Which industries does D&Z Worldwide serve?

We serve utilities, industry, agriculture, food and produce, and oil & gas, spanning drinking water, water reuse, wastewater, cooling and scrubber systems, and food safety. Our work covers five key areas: safe drinking water using green technology, water reuse treatment, food safety, wastewater cleanup, and the elimination of microorganism contaminants. Programs are built for utilities, agriculture, food processing, energy, and industrial operators that need to protect water quality and infrastructure.
